Stanah Primary School

In the Foundation Stage we have been learning about minibeasts! We had a visit from one of the Rangers at Stanah Ecology centre and he talked to us about looking for minibeasts and where they can be found! We managed to find a spider, a beetle and lots of other creatures! We have also been very brave and have enjoyed looking at Miss Wraight's pet tarantula's too! We have really enjoyed the topic and now know lots more information about minibeasts!

We had a 'design an egg' competition in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 on the last day before the Easter holidays. Lots of the children took part and we had some great creations from dinosaurs to the Queen!

On Friday we rounded off the week by coming to school in fancy dress! The teachers got dressed up too! Can you spot Mrs Dowsing or Mrs Irvin? We all dressed up as a country from around the world and we also brought some food it too. We had a buffet and all got the chance to try lots of different types of food from curry to lycees! We have had an amazing week!

Hola! On Thursday the children learnt how to say hello in Spanish! They also made some spanish omelettes, did some flamenco dancing, packed a suitcase to take on holiday to Spain and made a fan to keep them cool in the Spanish sun!
